“A Future Free From Famine” is short, animated call to action about agriculture and famine in poor countries. Created for ONE’s Hunger Campaign, the targets of the movie were ONE supporters and world leaders in the run up to the G20 meetings of rich nations in 2011.
ONE believes famine can be a thing of the past, and is calling for new and better policies to support agriculture in poor countries – so that they can grow enough of the right food, the right way, to meet their needs in good times and bad.
“ONE needed a short motivational spot that made the story of agricultural development simple and digestible, and compelled people to act,” says Paul Gallagher. “And they also wanted to reach younger campaigners, so it had to be a provocative and engaging movie – it was really important they felt moved to sign the petition at the end, and take further action. ”
