Ffin y Parc was a sad and lonely old house full of bats and shadows. It was rapidly falling into disrepair and disappearing behind a curtain of brambles and ivy.
Mark Mallindine has been advising the owners, who have been slowly restoring the house and its 14 acres of grounds situated in the Snowdonia National Park. The result is now an elegant Country House, with spacious B&B rooms and two self-catering cottages, a coffee shop, wine bar, food and a large contemporary art gallery.
The house is set in 14 acres of parkland inside the Snowdonia National Park.
Rooms are large, sophisticated and unique, with a mixture of antique and contemporary furnishings and original art. All the rooms have en-suite bathrooms, superking beds, flat screen TV and panoramic views of the Conwy Valley.
Downstairs the gallery has twelve varied shows a year by some of Wales’ leading contemporary artists. The licensed coffee-shop which is popular with visitors and locals alike, serves excellent tea and coffee, and a selection of cakes and light lunches all prepared by the owner. In the evenings it transforms into an elegant wine-bar.
